Cirebon – Leader of Buntet Cirebon Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), KH Adib Rofiuddin Izza, officially declared his support for the presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 Presidential Election. This statement of support came after the tabayyun and clarification process carried out by the ponpes.
“I want to explain to all parties, after the tabayyun process, that I as a senior figure and the entire Buntet Islamic Boarding School have agreed to give full support to Mr. Prabowo Subianto as president, and to Mas Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” said KH Adib in Jakarta on Wednesday (3/1/2024).
Adib expressed his belief that Prabowo is capable of leading Indonesia towards a better prosperity and can elevate the status of this country to become a developed country.
“We believe that Prabowo can elevate Indonesia from a developing country to a developed country. We must have that kind of belief, and God willing, Mr. Prabowo will be accompanied by Mas Gibran,” he said.
It is known that previously, Adib had given his support to the presidential candidate number 1, Ganjar Pranowo. However, he explained that the political dynamics had led him to support Prabowo-Gibran at the moment.
The Chairman of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo-Gibran, Rosan Roeslani, expressed his gratitude for the support given by Buntet Islamic Boarding School. Rosan emphasized that the support provides additional energy, confidence, and spirit to go through the campaign period.
“The support from Buntet Islamic Boarding School is very meaningful to us. It provides additional energy, confidence, and spirit to finish this campaign period,” he said.
Rosan also highlighted the programs promoted by Prabowo and Gibran, especially related to the welfare of the people. These programs, according to Rosan, will ensure good growth for Indonesia by involving all layers of society, especially the students. (SENOPATI)
