Jakarta – Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh congratulated Prabowo Subianto directly as the elected president in the 2024 presidential election along with Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This was conveyed during Prabowo’s visit to the NasDem Tower in Jakarta on Friday (22/3/24).
“We once again congratulate Mr. Prabowo along with Mas Gibran who have been determined as the president and vice president-elect for the 2024 election results,” said Surya.
He explained that Prabowo’s visit to the NasDem headquarters was a form of friendship as their relationship has been going on for 40 years.
“This visit is a visit of friendship considering a long journey in the personal relationship between the two of us for not less than 40 years,” he said.
“So it is very reasonable when I personally and of course also Mr. Prabowo still want the spirit of friendship that has been built for 40 years to be well maintained,” he added.
During the occasion, Prabowo said that his visit was to express his gratitude directly to Surya. Previously, Surya had congratulated Prabowo-Gibran’s victory shortly after the General Election Commission (KPU) announced the results of the 2024 presidential election.
“Today I come to the NasDem family to convey appreciation and thanks for the congratulations delivered by the Chairman of the NasDem Party,” said Prabowo.
“As soon as the General Election Commission announced the decision, appointing Prabowo Subianto as the elected president and brother Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the elected vice president of the 2024 presidential election, the Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Paloh immediately congratulated.
