Bandung- Candidate number 2 for president, Prabowo Subianto, greeted tens of thousands of people during his visit to the Gelora Bandung Lautan Api (GLBA) Stadium in Bandung, on Thursday (2/8).
The public seemed to have filled the stadium and waited for the Prabowo-Gibran pair since 12.00 PM. Not only from Bandung, a number of residents also came from various other areas in West Java.
Prabowo arrived in the late afternoon, shortly after his running mate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka. He was enthusiastically welcomed by citizens wearing various attributes and party flags. They, consisting of both old and young people, remained loyal while waiting for Prabowo despite a heavy rain shower.
Upon arriving on stage, Prabowo shook hands with the people who were crowded around the stage. Some also took the opportunity to capture the moment.
The shout of the name “Prabowo” echoed and the event became even more lively with the song ‘Oke Gas, Prabowo-Gibran Paling Pas’ and several other songs.
“Prabowo! Prabowo! Prabowo!” the masses shouted.
“One round, Sir!”
Prabowo admitted that the welcome from the tens of people was extraordinary. He was amazed and thanked his supporters for waiting in the midst of the rain.
“Thank you extraordinary, extraordinary reception given to me and my entourage today,” said Prabowo.
“Extraordinary, extraordinary people of West Java. You have been waiting for me for hours in the pouring rain. You didn’t move, didn’t go, extraordinary. Thank you. I apologize for being a little late because I was blocked from entering, extraordinary, I apologize,” he added. (SENOPATI)
